Mylan Cannon has photographed and produced numerous photo and video stories for The New York Times and The Boston Globe and consulted for organizations such as the Obama White House, UPS Foundation, Stanford University, St. Jude, eBay, and Amazon. He has also worked as a video director at the world’s largest communication consultancy, Edelman, where he managed video teams and built out the in-house production capabilities of the agency’s D.C. office.
Internationally, the camera has taken him through bustling markets in Tanzania, villages in Indonesia, carrapides in Senegal, and street protests in France.
He's classically trained as a photojournalist from Ohio University’s schools of journalism and visual communication where he earned his degree. He also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and speaks French. He is now based out of Washington, D.C., and is available for assignment. Outside of work, he has a deep passion for youth development, backcountry hiking, and making short films with his friends.
